Artist Statement Submitted 2014My sculpture examines boundaries, warnings and lies.
My current sculptural "Wall Crossings" series examines the boundaries we encounter both real and imaginary, be they either external or self imposed. Cautionary symbols are combined with three dimensional forms that allude to warnings related to boundaries we encounter. These boundaries although ambiguous as to their purpose, ask questions of the viewer regarding the nature of place (physical or psychological) and the dangers associated with it. Questions persist as to the veracity of the warnings and even of the boundaries themselves.
