Imaginary Leftovers

My most recent sculptures reflect some 40 years of making art. I have reached a stage in my career that is both accepting of where I am and what I'm doing and liberating in where I'm headed. It's reflective without having the bother of historical accuracy, consistency or even appropriateness.

In twelve step programs you hear the phrase : “Take what you like and leave the rest.” I feel that's what I'm doing. I'm building on all that I've done before. Sometimes, I literally am constructing with bits of materials I've hauled from studio to studio and state to state. What's different now is that I feel totally unrestricted in the choices I make. My imagination is examining my past unfettered.
