Artist Statement Submitted 2016

I'm an artist working in video, animation, projection mapping and eye-tracking. I am currently creating a series of sculptures that act as stages (color thresholds) functioning as extensions of my current study in eye-tracking and color. I’ve written a piece titled “Composition, Color & Interactivity” after an aesthetic survey I created with human test subjects, eye-tracking hardware and color theory. https://www.academia.edu/16959270/Composition_Color_and_Interactivity

I’ve been granted access to the Josef and Anni Albers Archive for phase two of my study this Fall with a focus on task performance and body movement in large, color field stages. I'll build large, color field platforms mounted with cameras to record body movement, location and duration of viewers. Here is a video describing the project https://vimeo.com/163152174
