Artist Statement Submitted 2014
As a narrative artist, I am fascinated by people - our virtues, faults, joys, and sorrows. Using the figure, my goal is to inject human comedy and tragedy into my work. I attempt to express the rich tapestry of life, weaving the elements of beauty, compassion, humor, despair, good, and evil into the work. I often try to reduce the imagery to essential symbols.
