The human connection to the natural world Is a tenuous one even if we think otherwise. Within moments upheavals, man-made or natural disasters, can yank the complacent rug out from under us. There is a texture to the aftermath, a tactile rich beige landscape of leftover bits. I am drawn to both the horror and power of the scenes. Colored shapes no matter how small stand out forming a visual relief. Links to the human element. I seek these shapes, textures and colors. To me they are the beginning of finding order in the chaos.
